Over the years, as she has nurtured her passion for fabrics, design, and creativity, she has come to know that nothing is more precious than the people who cross her path.
In Jackie’s world, no one is a stranger. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter, a curious beginner, or just someone passing through, you’ll leave feeling a little lighter, a little happier, and maybe even inspired to pick up a needle and thread.
Be sure to say hello—on the rare occasion you might catch a glimpse of her loving husband, checking in to be sure that the love of his life is happy and thriving in her quilting journey.
Some people create beautiful things; others create beauty in the lives of those around them. Jackie Vujcich does both.
A talented quilter, teacher, and entrepreneur, Jackie has built a community that extends far beyond fabric and thread—she has stitched together a place of warmth, generosity, and inspiration.
As the founder of Colorado Creations Quilting, Jackie has spent over two decades immersed in the artistry of quilting. Her specialty? Breathtaking, nature-inspired quilts that capture the stunning landscapes surrounding her home near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Whether through intricate patchwork or striking pictorial art quilts, Jackie’s work speaks to her deep connection with nature and creativity.
But Jackie’s true masterpiece is the kindness she weaves into the lives of others. Her generosity knows no bounds—whether it’s mentoring aspiring quilters, ensuring customers find exactly what they need, or simply offering a helping hand to those in need.
Jackie’s passion and respect for life come with no boundaries when it comes to compassion for others.

Her business isn’t just about selling fabric—it’s about empowering creativity. And it’s that passion that has made Colorado Creations Quilting a beloved name in the quilting world.
From a personal viewpoint, I know Jackie as someone who never closes her eyes to another person’s dreams or their aspirations to create a better world for themselves and others.
Generosity Stitched into Every Corner
Jackie’s kindness doesn’t stop at her shop’s doorsteps. When we first spoke about my work creating scarves and tote bags for the homeless, she immediately wanted to help. She not only provided encouragement but also stepped up in a tangible way, and lending her support however she could.
When we first spoke about my work making scarves, hats, blankets and tote bags for the homeless, I shared with Jackie what I had witnessed outside of a store where I had been shopping.
I was out for the first time, doing some shopping after an open heart surgery and aorta valve replacement… a day I should have felt grateful just to be alive. While I waited for my husband to pick me up, I had been thinking about my purchases when I observed a stranger beside me. He was standing next to a trash barrel, shivering from the cold, wearing only a threadbare coat, and eating from the trash a plate of pasta someone had tossed away. It profoundly affected my life. I felt guilty for being warm, content and for shopping for leisure-time goods. I did not like that feeling. I knew I needed to do something.so, I turned and went back into the store and bought as much fleece that I could carry, determined to make blankets and scarves to at least help those less fortunate be warm.
My husband and I made tote bags to hold their belongings, and fill them with the essential supplies to maintain life if only for a little while. As I was talking to Jackie, she must have sensed we were perhaps over our heads. I was so afraid she would laugh at us for jumping in head first when she realized we did not know how to make most of what we planned…a huge learning curve! However, it was just the opposite response we had expected when she obviously recognized it would be a monumental undertaking for us being retired, to both make each gift but shoulder the considerable expenses involved in our plan.
But that’s just who Jackie is!
Not only is she a pillar of society, a successful businesswoman, but she became my friend and a blessing and to those we are trying to assist.
She sees a need, and she fills it—quietly, without fanfare, without expecting anything in return. We bonded quickly, with quiet gratitude and a spiritual blessing. as if it was to be. And shortly afterward, I learned that helping others was simply part of Jackie’s nature.
Jackie without notice, buys coats and delivers them to those in need, expecting nothing in return. She lives with a philosophy of giving—not for recognition, but because it’s simply who she is. She makes the world warmer—both with her quilts and with her heart.
Jackie lifts people up, not because she has to, but because it’s simply who she is.
A Community Built on Care
Jackie’s shop isn’t just a business—it’s a community. Customers don’t just buy fabric—they become part of something bigger. Whether she’s helping someone track down a long-lost fabric, guiding a beginner through a tricky technique, or simply offering a smile and a kind word, Jackie creates a space where everyone feels valued.
In a world that can sometimes feel cold, Jackie is a reminder that warmth doesn’t just come from quilts—it comes from the people who make them.
So, if you find yourself in need of inspiration, high-quality quilting supplies, or just a little kindness, Colorado Creations Quilting is a place worth visiting. And if you’re lucky enough to meet Jackie herself, you’ll quickly understand why so many people hold her in their hearts.
Jackie, thank you for everything you do. Your kindness, your talent, and your generosity are gifts to us all.
